My Dear Fan Fictions

A few things have happened along my writing path since my last post. I'm still working on the 'outline' for my friend. It hasn't made much process. I have become distracted but not completely in a bad way. My quill is hard at work, so to speak.  At the moment I'm focusing my attention on my fan fictions. I have discontinued one titled Meant for You . I may start it up again in the future, but I doubt I will or at least not for an extremely long time.  I'm working a Star Trek Voyager fan fiction. Not Again! is a sequel to a piece that was written by one of my best friends ages along. I started the sequel years ago, but I have my heart set on completing it now. I don't plan to take too long on finishing it. It takes place during the episode Q2. So I have a beginning and end. It's the middle the will be my plot twist on the episode.  I have some dedicated readers to my fan fictions. I don't want to disappoint them. I do it for them and myself aft...

Outlines Aren't My Forte

So I have learned something about myself. I suck at outlines! I have been trying to complete an outline for the series and I can't get it done. Outlines aren't my thing apparently... but my friend wants an outline so she can start on the next book in the series. I need to figure what my thing is and produce it for her. A thing that she would understand as well. This will be an adventure. At least in a new step in my writing process. Well I know this post is short, but I'm keeping my promise. Posted again sooner than a year. ^_^ I think I will work on the "outline" [finger crossed] and maybe an original work or fan fiction. I will let the Muses guide me. I plan to complete something soon.  Until I write again... VT

The Year Forgotten

Well... I didn't write a post even once during 2014 and that would pretty bad of me. It was an interesting, but not so interesting year. What can I say for my writing career... I have been struggling. I will get burst of creativity and write for days or weeks... then nothing! The nothing... it lasts for such a long time. The book series I'm cowriting with my friend still hasn't gotten off the ground and it is my fault. I'm disappointed in myself. I am going to make it up to her though. That's all going to change in the coming year. I plan to get publish this year. I will complete a novel and get published. I might have to go the self publishing route, but I will do it. I will start posting on this blog more. Not that anyone really follows me. It's a beginning though. I will even try and finish a fan fiction. I know I still have readers for those stories and I don't want to disappoint them. I would to complete a fan fiction for my readers.  Some big news ...

Long Time, No Write

It's not every day that a writer admits that she has a problem. I have many problems. Like I was working at a call center for about a year and now I'm unemployed. All the time I was working the 9 to 5 job, my creativity was drained. Now that I have more time on my hands to get back to my writing. I'm suffering from writer's block. Woe is to me! I'm still working on completing book 1 of the series I'm co writing with a dear friend. She has been patience with me, but I'm not sure for how much longer. I would get annoyed with me if I was her. I am working on trying to finish the book outline so I can start working on the chapters. I'm hitting roadblocks there. I have the beginning worked out and I have the ending worked out as well. It's the in between that's the issue. Oh! Why aren't the muses on my side? Hopefully, I would get through this block during the week. That's the plan. On a side note, I continue to write my fan fictions. My w...

The Trouble With Genius

I have discovered that my biggest problem with my writing progress... is my own creativeness. I have too many stories, characters, and ideas running about in my head. I'm constantly writing up new stories and putting my other stories on the back burner. It's a blessing and a curse. Mostly a curse at this point. All my stories are on hiatus because a new plot for a novel is taking all my attention. So many incomplete novels and short stories are just waiting for me to finish them. I will complete a project of mine... someday. Until then, I'm working on yet another novel project. This time I'm working on it with a dear friend. She's a fantastic writer and together we have come up with a good idea for a series of books. We are in the brainstorming phrase and are outlining the first book. I'm seeing a lot of promise with this project. With two people working on it, we are sure to finish it and get it published. Here's to hoping at least. I will try to keep t...

Ideas into Novels

A plot for a paranormal romance popped in my head the other day. I can't seem to shake it from my mind. I have been daydreaming about it ever since. I haven't started writing it, but the plot has been wandering about my brain. It has taken me away from my other works-in-progress. I have quite a few it seems. I have quite the active imagination after all.  I have a lot of stories that are taking a back burner to this one. There's a short story I need to finish rewriting. I did write it when I was in junior high. It needs updating or so to say. I have a science fiction trilogy that has been put on hiatus because of my schooling and not having the time to research. Not to mention, there's a story that is dear to me that I have yet to finish. It's been demanding me to publish it. This all has been put on hold because this latest narrative is hogging all my attention.   I have to admit the characters are keeping me entertained. My heroine is quite spunky and always g...

The Beginning of my Scribbling Path

Choose a job you love and you will never to work a day in your life. - Confucius     Often I have heard this saying in everyday life, I always wanted a career like that. With being an author of novels, I believe it is the kind of job that wouldn't be one. It would be something I love to do. In fact, it is something I love already. I enjoy the stories that fill my head and I write them down on paper or type up on a document. The characters whispering about in my mind demand a stage of their own to perform. That is what being a writer is all about.  The plan is let my imagination do the work. I'm going to take each day, each story one day at a time. The stories are going to turn into novels. Novels are going to become bestsellers. One can keep their fingers crossed. My hope is to be published in the coming days. Covers in bookstores will bare the name Victoria Taylor across them. My dream is to never work a day in my life. That journey starts now. VT
