I Live, I Write

It has been over a year since I posted on this blog. Mostly because I didn't have any writing news. I have been on hiatus in regards of writing. I have been focused on work and college classes. My social life has little activity and so did my writing. All previous original works in progress I have mention in the past are on... permanent hiatus or on the back burners for all eternity. I may to work on them again someday but now any time soon. Instead I am working on a new project that I am really excited about. It will be a modern fairytale of sorts. I do have a friend that will encourage me to work it constantly. I promised her updates on every few chapters I complete. No pressure!  I am a crocheter and I did say so in previous posts that I would share I made. So I give you a cactus I crochet. May it brighten your day.  Until I write again, VT

Reading More than Writing

As an aspiring writer, I haven't been doing a lot of writing. Sure I have been working on my fan fictions on and off, but I haven't posted anything. I'm trying something new where I write out a few chapters before posting. So it might be awhile before anything is posted. I can live with that. Writing is not my main focus at the moment. Anyway... I have going through a lot of changes in the last few months. I moved to a new place, started a new job, and still going strong at college. I have been reading like mad. I'm not joking. In all my free time, it seems like I have been doing is reading. I have been rereading series plus new books that have recently come out. I have been reading a lot of fan fiction as well.  I think I'm going to stick to reader mode for a bit. I love being a bookdragon. I'm hoarding more and more books. I'm super excited for a bunch of new releases in the next few months from my favorite authors. I am ready to get lost in the many

Life So Far

Well it has been awhile since I have written a post on this blog. Since moving to Reno, it has been fairly busy. I'm a full time student and have part time work. I'm loving my life here. Sure I miss my friends and family, but I try to keep in touch and I'm doing okay at that. It has been an adventure and I am experiencing so many new things. I have had my ups and downs naturally, but that is life. As for writing, I haven't done much. I have thought up a lot of story ideas, but I'm not actually writing anything or working on current projects. I can't make any promises of getting any writing done soon. When the mood hits me, I will. Maybe work on some original stories or maybe work on fan fiction. I'm going to focus on college first. On a side note, I have gotten into crochet and will post any crochet projects I finish in the future. So far I have only made scarves. It is a lot of fun! I really like it.  That's all for now. Just a little update on my

New Adventure

Exciting news is... I'm moving to Reno, NV in May and going back to school. I plan to get a degree in Secondary Education and become an English teacher. I'm thrilled with this new direction in my life. I have always respected teachers and it is one of the paths I saw myself following. Teaching English was a bit of a no brainer. Sadly I have been so busy with moving and getting enrolled that I haven't been writing. I don't know when I will have time to write. I will be busy with school. I will try to make some time and work on my stories. Being an author is still very important to me. Until I write again ... VT

Lost

Sorrow can be soft  Or can be loud  Sorrow can be shared with others  Or can be buried in oneself  Sorrow can be felt deeply  Or felt for just a moment  Sorrow can be expressed with words  Or can never be spoken  Sorrow can be hard  Or can be lighten  Sorrow simply is  Or is not Last month was a hard month for me. I lost someone close to me... my nana. She was one of kind and a bit crazy. She shared so much with me and her passions become some of mine. She loved life. She encouraged my dreams and my first published book will be dedicated to her. She loved all kinds of books and enjoyed all my stories. She will missed so much. She was a well loved woman and lived an amazing life. I only hope I will live my life as well as her. While she was far from perfect and had her regrets, she was human with a big heart. I know that she is looking down at me from on high and sending her love. I wrote the above poem. May my feelings be known and be felt by any who read.

Happy Holidays

It has been ages since I posted. So here is a little update on my life and writing. Since I last posted, I have done very little writing. I spent most of days working to save up money for my Scotland trp. Then I went to Scotland for two weeks in September. Best decision of my life. It is a beautiful country with wonderful people. I had an amazing trip and plan to take another trip in the future. After Scotland, the different holidays came and I have more time with my family and less time on my writing. So I kinda went on a writing hiatus and didn't post anything on my blog. My bad! I will be working on my poor blogging skills. The New Year is just around the corner. I have made some big life changes. In the spring, I will be moving to a different state and start a course for a new career path. I'm excited this new direction. It doesn't mean I have quit being a writer or no longer have my desire to be published. I might be less focused though. Well I wish everyone a Ha

Unofficial Holiday for Geeks

As a geek, I just had to post something today. I'm a huge sci fi fan! I love Doctor Who, Star Wars, Star Trek, Stargate, and many more. So I couldn't pass up the chance to write something.  While May the Fourth is not an official holiday, it is being celebrate around the world by geeks [and even non geeks]. It's exciting to turn on the TV and see all the Star Wars related shows, movies, etc. I spent part of the day watching Star Wars Rebels. I am very much getting into the mood for the new movie. Too bad it couldn't come out today. That would be so awesome.  Anyway... today embrace the force and let your geekiness out. Watch some Star Wars specials or the movies themselves. Just have fun! VT
