From the Writer's Imagination

It has been ages since I posted. So here is a little update on my life and writing. Since I last posted, I have done very little writing. I spent most of days working to save up money for my Scotland trp. Then I went to Scotland for two weeks in September. Best decision of my life. It is a beautiful country with wonderful people. I had an amazing trip and plan to take another trip in the future. After Scotland, the different holidays came and I have more time with my family and less time on my writing. So I kinda went on a writing hiatus and didn't post anything on my blog. My bad! I will be working on my poor blogging skills. The New Year is just around the corner. I have made some big life changes. In the spring, I will be moving to a different state and start a course for a new career path. I'm excited this new direction. It doesn't mean I have quit being a writer or no longer have my desire to be published. I might be less focused though. Well I wish everyone a Ha...

As a geek, I just had to post something today. I'm a huge sci fi fan! I love Doctor Who, Star Wars, Star Trek, Stargate, and many more. So I couldn't pass up the chance to write something.  While May the Fourth is not an official holiday, it is being celebrate around the world by geeks [and even non geeks]. It's exciting to turn on the TV and see all the Star Wars related shows, movies, etc. I spent part of the day watching Star Wars Rebels. I am very much getting into the mood for the new movie. Too bad it couldn't come out today. That would be so awesome.  Anyway... today embrace the force and let your geekiness out. Watch some Star Wars specials or the movies themselves. Just have fun! VT

I have come to realize a few things about my writing. I'm trying to write romance or love stories. When it comes to love and romance, my knowledge is limited. I have never been in love. At least anything passed the puppy love stage. Everything else I know about love is what I have learned from others or by watching whose around me. Most of the time I have been disappointed. In today's society, it doesn't seem to last. I have seen real lasting love and can't understand why people mistreat it. Love is precious but no one seems to want to look or wait for the real deal. I don't plan to settle for just anyone, even if it causes me to become an old maid. I'm young so I still have time. To the point of the rant... I'm making a change. I'm still going to work on my fan fictions and the joined series with my friend. All other stories are being pushed to the side. I have decided to write children books. A few things have happened along my writing path since my last post. I'm still working on the 'outline' for my friend. It hasn't made much process. I have become distracted but not completely in a bad way. My quill is hard at work, so to speak.  At the moment I'm focusing my attention on my fan fictions. I have discontinued one titled Meant for You . I may start it up again in the future, but I doubt I will or at least not for an extremely long time.  I'm working a Star Trek Voyager fan fiction. Not Again! is a sequel to a piece that was written by one of my best friends ages along. I started the sequel years ago, but I have my heart set on completing it now. I don't plan to take too long on finishing it. It takes place during the episode Q2. So I have a beginning and end. It's the middle the will be my plot twist on the episode.  I have some dedicated readers to my fan fictions. I don't want to disappoint them. I do it for them and myself aft...

So I have learned something about myself. I suck at outlines! I have been trying to complete an outline for the series and I can't get it done. Outlines aren't my thing apparently... but my friend wants an outline so she can start on the next book in the series. I need to figure what my thing is and produce it for her. A thing that she would understand as well. This will be an adventure. At least in a new step in my writing process. Well I know this post is short, but I'm keeping my promise. Posted again sooner than a year. ^_^ I think I will work on the "outline" [finger crossed] and maybe an original work or fan fiction. I will let the Muses guide me. I plan to complete something soon.  Until I write again... VT

Well... I didn't write a post even once during 2014 and that would pretty bad of me. It was an interesting, but not so interesting year. What can I say for my writing career... I have been struggling. I will get burst of creativity and write for days or weeks... then nothing! The nothing... it lasts for such a long time. The book series I'm cowriting with my friend still hasn't gotten off the ground and it is my fault. I'm disappointed in myself. I am going to make it up to her though. That's all going to change in the coming year. I plan to get publish this year. I will complete a novel and get published. I might have to go the self publishing route, but I will do it. I will start posting on this blog more. Not that anyone really follows me. It's a beginning though. I will even try and finish a fan fiction. I know I still have readers for those stories and I don't want to disappoint them. I would to complete a fan fiction for my readers.  Some big news ...
